You want to help but do not have time to volunteer. Sponsor-a-Kitty is a great way to make a difference in the lives of these animals.
You can become a partner in our efforts to save homeless, abused or neglected animals. Your donation provides the food, shelter, medical care and other services for our animals. If you would like to help us in our ongoing efforts to care for animals in need, please consider a contribution to the Animal Rescue League.
Animal Rescue League (ARL) is a no-kill organization so animals that find their way to ARL’s sanctuary live with them until they find their forever homes. We hold these animals near and dear to our hearts. The stray and abandon animals, primarily cats, come to us in a variety of conditions some with special needs such as Bob or Oliver while others need socialization. While these animals wait to get adopted your monthly sponsorship can help provide care for them. Although we do have special needs animals that will probably stay with ARL for life you can sponsor any one of our many wonderful animals.
You will receive …your sponsor kitty’s story along with their picture. You can stop by our Shelter, Mason’s Place, to visit with your sponsored kitty and see how he/she is doing. You will receive throughout the year progress reports about your kitty at our sanctuary. If your sponsored animal does find a loving forever home, we will notify you of his/her adoption and provide you with a selection of other kitties for sponsorship.
What does your monthly donation do for your sponsored kitty? As little as $15.00 a month (or your customized sponsorship) can provide for food or litter or medications or veterinary care or vaccines and more.
KITTY SPONSOR ANIMAL DESCRIPTION SUGGESTIONS:
This is Eden. She was spotted limping behind our sanctuary. Eden is seriously injured, her distal left femur is protruding from mid-leg (which means her knee joint is actually exposed). She is very friendly and so sweet. It was heartbreaking to see a cat in this condition: emaciated, flea=infested, hurt.
We started a fund raising campaign at https://www.gofundme.com/helprescuedkitty to help us raise the needed funds. Eden will need extensive veterinary care. We weren’t looking to rescue at this time because we are moving in/settling into our new location, but sometimes an animal in desperate need finds you and you have to act.
I’d like to sponsor Eden for $15.00/month
Denny is an interesting character ‐ he’s one of several cats who somehow just find their way to us and make themselves known. We’d seen Denny on the property of our shelter for a couple days and had noticed that something didn’t look quite right with him. He wasn’t friendly so he wouldn’t just come to us. We had to humanely trap him. When we brought Denny inside we saw that he had injuries from head to toe. It looked like he’d been attacked by something. He also had a serious problem with his left eye and even though he was practically at death’s door he let us know that he wasn’t very happy to be with us. Several visits to the vet and his external injuries healed; we could not save his left eye though and it had to be removed. Denny still needs additional medical attention which we cannot provide until we have enough funds. He resides at our shelter and has become a buddy to another black cat named Dusty. Denny will follow him anywhere and plays with Dusty and some of the other younger cats in the group. Denny has also come a long way in being socialized and lets us pet him ‐ earning the trust of a frightened animal is huge. We will never know what happened to Denny, but hope that someday he will be in the home of a loving family who will appreciate him for his strength and courage to survive.
I’d like to sponsor Denny for $15.00/month
We have many animals that we have rescued that we care for on a daily basis. Since we are a NO-Kill organization, we will care for these animals until they are adopted or move on. The cost to maintain the older ones or those that have medical issues can be quite expensive. They require continued medical care as well as food and supplies. We currently have 10 cats that meet this criteria.
Some of these will probably not be adopted, so if you would like to sponsor these animals, please help by donating below.
I’d like to sponsor ARL’s sometimes forgotten animals to help care, feed, and rehabilitate them in order to find good homes for $50.00/month or other amount that you would like to contribute.
Thank You for Your Generosity… All of Us Really Appreciate Anything that You Can Do to Help.
